Join AJ Davidson, Talent Acquisition Manager for the UVA advancement community, to learn more about what it means to pursue a career in advancement. Advancement is a relatively young and constantly evolving field. We will discuss the variety of roles, including fundraising, that exist within the industry, as well as the types of organizations where these opportunities might live. AJ will also share several stories of advancement professionals who have been successful in launching and/or growing their advancement careers at UVA.

About AJ Davidson

AJ Davidson (Educ ’06) serves as the Talent Acquisition Manager for the University of Virginia advancement community.  In this role, she focuses on identifying talent and helping to fill advancement-related positions at the University.

Prior to coming to UVA, AJ was the Director of Recruitment and Selection for Northwestern Mutual’s Blue Ridge Financial Group in Charlottesville.  She also spent several years working in career services at Washington & Lee University.

AJ received her B.A. in psychology from Gettysburg College, and then she returned to her home state of Virginia to earn both an M.Ed and Ed.S in mental health counseling from the University of Virginia’s Curry School of Education.
