Mark Caldwell is an Associate Principal based in the Washington D.C. office of Heidrick & Struggles. Mark works in the Education & Social Enterprise Practice. The group is a worldwide leadership talent acquisition and advisory resource for a wide range of mission-driven organizations – education entities of all kinds, associations, cultural institutions, NGOs and social service organizations and foundations. He joined the firm in 2007.
Mark focuses on senior-level searches for clients in the Education Markets sector. His concentration focuses on education technology companies that provide software, digital content and other technologies that address educational needs. Aside from his search work, Mark is currently co-authoring a resource guide for the World Economic Forum focusing on Public-Private Partnerships in Education.
Prior to joining Heidrick & Struggles, Mark spent three years working at the University of Virginia where he was the Assistant Director for the National College Advising Corps where he helped build a new college access program that is now a national initiative across 13 universities. He holds a Bachelor’s degree from Davidson College and a Master’s from Vanderbilt University.
